However, there are so many different grades of cashmere clothes that you can find in the market, it's really difficult to determine whether the cashmere you brought is really high quality. So I think the following points will help you a lot.
A. Rub Your Cheeks
Cheeks skin is one of the most sensitive parts of our body. 100% cashmere will not cause any discomfort or itchy feeling when it closes to our cheeks. In other words, if cashmere clothes don't produce any rejection reaction to our cheeks, its quality is certainly good.
B. See The Tags
Try to select the clothes that are marked with 100% cashmere, as only 100% cashmere is required for inspection and official authorization. Those coats/ ladies sweaters are marked with 70% cashmere and 30% wool may have cashmere content of only 5%!!!
C. Estimate The Weight
For cashmere coats, the heavier, the warmer. Because the cashmere is woven by the double-thread yarns, and those that are woven by multi-yarns are heavier.
D. Pinch The Cloth
Pinch the cloth slightly, the better the quality of cashmere will not wrinkle at all, or the crease is not obvious.
E. Check The Colors
Natural cashmere is generally white, gray and brown. And in the dyeing process, cashmere will lose part of softness. Thus, although the bright colors are attractive, those cashmere clothes with natural colors are more comfortable and cozy instead.
F. Check The Price
As I mentioned before, a pure cashmere coat costs almost $1,800 to $5,000, so if a cashmere coat only costs 1-2 thousands, probably it's not pure cashmere.
